VANCOUVER, CANADA – June 2, 2008 – Pacific Coast Information Systems (PCIS) Ltd. has appointed three members to their Board of Advisors to provide guidance for the company’s major planned expansion for the coming years.


The Vancouver-based full-service technology company anticipates significant growth in revenue, human resources and product offerings as it builds and promotes its new Boonbox line of web security, password management and data recovery products. New advisory board chair Tom O’Flaherty, and advisors Tom Bennett and Jack Allison, will provide the company with strategic advice to boost growth.

Tom O’Flaherty, Board Chair
O’Flaherty is a consultant, advisor, director and mentor to a number of technology companies throughout British Columbia (BC). He has over 20 years of senior executive and CEO experience in the technology industry, starting, expanding and restructuring private and public technology companies.

O’Flaherty began his career at Xerox, after which he co-founded Bedford Software, producing Simply Accounting. After this was acquired by Computer Associates, he started Richmond Technologies and brought Maximizer to market. Maximizer was acquired by Modatech, where O’Flaherty eventually became CEO.

O’Flaherty then joined finance industry leader Ernst & Young as Vice President of Corporate Finance, working with a number of BC technology companies. He then became president of Voice Mobility, helping bring a uniquely unified communications technology to market.

He has also served on the boards of Acetech, Softworld, BCIT Technology Centre, the BCTIA, the Technical University of BC, Vancouver Board of Trade Advanced Technology Task Force and the Advanced Systems Institute.

Tom Bennett
Bennett is an advisor, director and software executive consultant with more than 20 years of software industry experience.

Bennett has spent most of his career as the former co-president and chief technology officer for Maximizer Software. He helped grow Maximizer’s business by more than 50% over four years. Bennett also served as one of the original architects of the company's popular contact management product, Maximizer.

Bennett was named one of the Top 50 Technology Innovators by VARBusiness Magazine and is a Champion of the BCTIA CTO Roundtable Group.

Jack Allison
Allison is a senior partner with Conselleo, an International Sales Effectiveness Consulting and Coaching organization. He has 25 years of experience building highly successful sales forces for information technology companies in the U.S., Canada, and other parts of the world.

Allison began his career in the U.S. at IBM in sales. He quickly moved through a succession of executive sales and marketing positions before joining Shared Medical Systems (SMS), becoming Vice President and Managing Director of SMS Canada in 1980.

Most recently, as the senior vice president of sales at Fincentric in Richmond, BC, he led the worldwide growth of the direct and indirect (channel) sales organization that contributed to record revenues in the early 2000’s.
