This week brought some interesting articles and news worth taking note of:
- Great Britain is setting up the Institute of Alan Turing. As you may have guessed, it will focus on new ways of collecting, organising and analysing large sets of data. Hopefully, the name is precursor of great things to come our way from the institute.
- There's a big battle brewing among major Internet players in China. Several are planning IPOs in North America, but the battle is taking place in Asia. Everybody should be watching this; you will be affected by the outcome.
- More about Bitcoin. Now some fella is trying to tell Warren Buffet that he's wrong about Bitcoin. Them's strong fighting words.
- Is High Frequency Trading (HFT) good for you? New York's attorney general Eric Schneiderman has an opinion about that.
