Job Purpose: PCIS is pleased to be recruiting for a Team Lead/Sr. C++ and Java Developer with experience in the Financial Domain (specifically with Trading and Brokerage) for our very large financial institutional client. This position is located in Downtown, Toronto. This role is accountable for the delivery and execution of IT Projects on a Global Scale.

Duties:
  • Team Lead within the Trading Technology - Architecting, designing, developing, and deploying a state of the art Trading platform
  • Manages relationships with the various Executive Department Head to ensure IT strategy aligns with business strategy.
  • Works with Senior Developers to Identify, plan and negotiate for suitable resource levels to meet business and budget objectives
  • Has responsibility for both strategic and tactical initiatives within the program.
  • Communicates progress and financial accountability on projects to the Technology management team.
  • Establishes vision and goals within the IT Trading program, driving high performance management, supporting career development and rewarding strong performance.
Skills/Qualifications:
  • Strong business knowledge within the financial domain
  • Strong hands-on technical knowledge of the following: UNIX/Linux, C++, Java, Design and Architectural Skills
  • Ability to work on both tactical and strategic projects.
  • Broad knowledge and appreciation of technology to support to the Trading/Equities business.
  • ASSET: Experience in assortment of the following areas a big plus - Order management, Smart Routing, Client Connectivity, Exchange Connectivity, Algorithmic Trading, Crossing.
